battery question

Hi guys I was thinking I have a better drain somewhere I have a new alt new volt reg batteries and a starter when my batteries drain down I'll charge them and I'll get one real good shot at cranking it for say 5 seconds and then the batteries are about gone does this seem my batteries are shot although they are new?

Can I take them out of the truck and go to advanced to have them tested ? Truck needs some more work before it's road ready

Yeah. They need to be charged first.
Also check the battery cables inch by inch, very closely.
