Timing service registry is working already!

After posting in the thread, I got a message the other day com a long time member that has never posted.

I had a little time today, so he came over and we checked the timing of his baby moose NA truck. He is getting a little more smoke than he likes, but I think it's just a fuel vs. air thing at this point.

Set him up with a few marks of various timing spots so he could adjust it here and there to try and balance power and smoke.

Sure enjoy meeting members and helping out!

Sounds like a good deal! Maybe we can wait until it's a little cooler outside. I got a little dehydrated and overheated in today's 100 degrees over top of a hot engine. I like the idea of cooler weather!!!

No doubt. I changed my transmission fluid, upgraded pan, and changed filter on Saturday. The only good place I have to do that is right in the wide open sun. That sucked.

ya ya....I'm almost capable of nosing a truck or car in....damn Bronco in the way buwa ha ha...and some stuff...but it's really honestly getting better, slow and steady it's cleaner and cleaner..

Bill you got light you need to paint those walls. If was closer would come help ya out!

Bill needs more bench space so the chairs can be used to rest in. Not store stuff. I have one chair in my shop. I use it and wont allow wifey in shop. Nothing in there is for her. I have found over the last 44 plus years tools just wont fit her hands at all. My shop is a mess but I know where it all is too.

I plan on joining the registry but I am not completely happy with the results of my timing (Ferret pulse). I need to send the Ferret to someone who has a properly timed truck to check it out... been meaning to PM riotwarrior...

The Ferret worked well but at 8.5 I started to eat glow plugs - and it rattled much louder - I backed it off a couple and everything is fine.

Guess I will just send that PM now

Not familur with the mac tool but feel it requires a timing lite thats adjustable for offset.

It does. Of course there's no manual for it in the box and I can't find one online.
