in retrospect, I'm glad the dealer DID post the miles, as that one would be a shocker to get in the cab and see that many miles staring at you on the odometer..!!

I hear that...I thought that I had found the car of my dreams on CL. Beautiful looking 2003 VW Jetta TDI wagon with a 5 speed. I almost didn't bother to run a CarFax before planning to go down to San Diego to take a look at it, but finally decided I should just to be safe...only to find that it had been totalled in a front-end collision and had a salvage title. Not a word about that on the CL ad...the ad actually sounded like a dealer, but upon further research, it looks like it was a body shop...
