water pump time

Check ebay, I got a new water pump there for less than $50 shipped months ago. It was new old stock with the gasket and new bolts with a diagram for replacement.

I think mine was original, it was nasty inside. I yanked it a while ago just because I was starting over on the coolant and didn't want to tear into it anytime soon. It wasn't even leaking

with his stock fan weight off his water pump now,he expects his pump to last for more than a decade.

Even if the fan was still on, I'd expect it to last a decade. When you only drive on average 2000 miles a year, it takes a LONG time to wear something out.
