Let's see pics of those heavy duty bumpers on your trucks! I need some inspiration for how I'm gonna build mine. I saw a 92 cc here in town with the spare tire on front bumper that actually looked pretty good.

come summer i will fab a tool box on each side and one side will have a reeled extention cord for the block heater in it and the other will be rope straps or something
its 12 inch 5/16 thick c channel on front and 10 inch c channel on the frame
i am also going to make gaurds for the lights out of 1/4 plate and maybe a grill gaurd not sure on the grill gaurd yet
its about as heavy duty as you can get
its welded to the frame and got at least 15 inches of weld

anything this heavy will need welded to the frame bolts may not hold

also the front hitch is seperate from the bumper and is made of semi truck frame off mine and 1/2 inch wall pipe with 1/8 wall tube holding the hitch
all works great ive pushed and pulled tons of crap with it even smacked an f250 junk truck at 35 to test it out

to bend the channel i made pie cuts and smacked a tree works great long as the pie cuts are even

That is quite the bumper! It looks like you're ready for the zombie apocalypse.

I'm going to have a pair of bumpers fabbed up for my F250 sometime this year. I've been giving some thought to a front bumper like this:

Realistically though, it probably won't be quite as radical.

I've been wanting to do bumpers for my truck for awhile especially since the front one is on its way to rusting out.

I'd like to do the front one where it had a nice flat top that I could stand on to work on the truck...that would be really nice.

Hey Brandonmag I like the idea of the retractable block heater cord...I just carry an extension cord behind my seat though.

Exactly. That's why when I get one made, it won't have such a radical top and it'll probably stick out from the grill, similar to 88beast's.

i like the uprights on mine, it is in just the right place that your stomach is at, and since it is round tube, it doesnt hurt.
