got a 1990 6.2 that after sitting over night or all day at work when i start it it will start fine and run about 6-8 seconds then die. then after cranking for a while it will fire back up and run fine. so im thinking there is a leak in my filter base thats letting air in my fuel system after sitting awhile(around the base on the firewall is the only place thats wet)? i replaced the filter and same problem so that leads me to the base. i am considering converting to the base that accepts screw on filters or maby even 2 of them like a 10 micron fuel filter/water seperator and a 2 micron filter after that. does any one have or seen a setup similar to this and maby have a few part numbers for me? or if you think i have a different problem and i am going in the wrong direction any other ideas would be great.
