I think the DB2 will make 400 to the wheels, if i was gonna go drop another 6k on a scheid pump and a conversion kit, i might as well be running a cummins. The whole point of this is to make the build WITH the 6.9.

Bigger lines and injectors just comes with the territory when beefing up an IP.

If I can get a good reliable setup making good power, I wouldn'y give a second thought to running in the street class at a pull. the advantage the f250 has over the rest of the trucks that would be at a pull is weight. in the dodge i could only hang 800lbs of weight before i reached the 8000lbs weight limit. with some attention paid to truck setup, the f250 could hang 2000lbs out front, that is huge!!!!!!!! even if i am coming in with less hp, ALL of it would be getting to the ground,

just make sure with that much weight you are running a Dana 60 LOL.

I've been watching that exhaust manifolds forum also, apparently no one ever went through with it.

haha yeah a D60 is a huge must. In my truck i already have 3000lbs sitting on the front axle. Thats 2WD with nothing special.

just because pistons don't break doesn't mean they are the best top shape available for making power.

i like this idea. i really want to see someone push this motor. machine work on the heads are i think the first place to start.

Hmm...long thread...lots of fluff floating round...will wait n see...as for a "Dirty Pickle" looks more like a Bleeding pickle with that burgundy interior.

Good luck on the build.

Now renamed "Thunder Pickle"

So I made it to Southern California, why is that special? I drove the IDI here!!!!! I really am in love with this pig but, DANG does it suck heading up hills. Heading south on the 15 freeway just after Primm I started heading up the mountains. Best I could manage was 47mph in 3rd gear, we definitely need some power that just aint gonna do. So, after 20 minutes of traveling like that I ordered a Banks kit through my Dodge guy. Engine build or not I need some temporary power.

Up until I had to stop at the California state line at the inspection station I was cruising at 65mph at 2500rpm roughly, that V8 diesel sounds awesome when its humming along. So when i pull through the inspection station I get on the throttle,........whoa, buttdyno alarmn goes off!!!!! I feel more power, I am making less smoke at WOT. The greatness of desnser air being realized. An hour out of San Diego and nearly at sea level elevation hills were no problem, i was actually accelerating up hills, albeit slowly. The Banks needs to get here quick, I cant get use to the truck having this power and then losing in after i get back to nevada and higher elevations.

Oh, and not to shabby on the gas mileage for running 4.10's and 35" tires, total trip was about 17-18 miles per gallon and I am sure its getting a lot better mileage down here than back up in the desert.

I wonder if a IP from a 9L would be easier to modify being an inline pump?....Just throwing something out there for thought.
