Last one came in for me under $750/year for only basic coverage if some one hits me and they are not insured, and one million dollar 3rd party liability (depending on what contract I am working on, some customers demand 3 million). If I hit a tree or some one else, I'm completely on my own to put the truck back together. I have the cheapest insurance rates in the family due to perfect driving record (translation: never been caught!) and the age and use of the vehicle. 6 months insurance on the saturn EV came in over $600!!!!!

I don't live in Florida but what I found out here in tax you to death Kalifornia is you can get 6 quotes from 6 companys and they will all vary. There was a $900 a year difference from the highest to the lowest for the same coverage. Bottom line, shop around. Quotes are free!

Wow. I was getting screwed last year.

I had ONE fender bender, no damage, and my rates went from $225 a month to just shy of $500.

I dropped that company, and now I pay $250 a month for my home property insurance, liability only on the truck, and full coverage on the car....the truck and car have one million dollar coverage a piece...thought it was two million, had to check. AND.....if someone so much as sneezes on the car, it's covered.....the truck, not so much.

Keep in mine that I am a professional truck driver, never been in an accident at work that was my fault, I had two people run into ME on two separate occasions.

My personal record is squeaky clean. Not so much as even a parking ticket. I have had one at fault accident, and there was NO damage to my truck, and only a cracked piece of siding to a house who's driveway I was plowing snow from...Bad driveway, and I won't plow it ever again!
