My project this spring is to put a ttb d44 axle under mine. There a dime a dozen around here, and bolt right up in place of the 2wd ttb's. Just have to swap out the outer axles to 8 lug.

Instant and easy 4x4 for what I need, and thats extra winter driving traction.

I know you can do that with the F150s, but does it work with the F250s as well?

The lighter F250s were already available with the 8 bolt hubs on D44 TTB....I am considering it....

u need chevy (or dodge) outers for a successful 8 lug swap.

I know all the individual part #'s are the same between the 250HD 2x4 and 150 4x4. Including the springs. I do remember something about having to swap out the 5 lug to 8, but I assumed I could do that from a D44LD out of a gasser 250.
