I think a lot of that started as the theft detering locking steering wheel. Unfortunately, it didn't take a dent puller long to defeat that one. One of the guys here at work has a new fangled foreign car that doesn't even take a key. He's just got some kind of push button on the dash that reads his fingerprint or something. cookoo Maybe eventually the key on the column will go away again, and by then we won't even be able to choose when the wipers come on. Some computer will do that for us. Hmmm... seems like Zagger and Evans had a few more versus to write.

There was a Mercedes, in the shop today, that, for a key, had a big fat plastic apparatus, about the size of a three-blade-Case, that WAS the key to that car.

It had some kind of CHIP in it that told the car to start.

Whats a three blade case?

I hear ya midnight rider on the pre '92 non multifunction switch, cept for one part. I ain't a fan of the floor switch for the highs. Took care of that with my relay rewire on the '88.
