Looking through my 1994 G-series official GM factory service manual for some torque specs, I ran across this. It clearly shows a MC39309 for JB8/JD7. Make of that what you will.

That's entirely possible.

I spotted a "used like new" (aka new, just returned) Dorman MC39309 on Amazon for $30, so I grabbed it. That's over 50% off vs new. I put a "used" Dorman Saginaw PS pump from Amazon on the IDI RV and it was fine.
