Finally have a chance to get back into the C350 project.
Have '03 super duty axles and a Sky front and back RS kits waiting.
The axles have been sitting out in open air for a couple years, so going to replace the brakes.
Have been looking at the Power Stop and Detroit Axle full sets, calipers, rotors, pads.
Wondering if anyone has experience with either one?
Judging by the reviews online, it looks like Power Stop is better, it's also sold at a local parts store.
Planned on getting all new bearings locally.

Every truck and car I have has stock calipers (life time warranty) and power stop rotors with life time pads from oriellys. Super duty’s, tahoes suburbans, expeditions and my 90 Idi. We tow heavy we haul heavy we go up and down mountains. Never a problem. We replace rotors about every 2 years and at that time just take everything else in for warranty That way we only pay for rotors.

I use powerstop pads front and rear. I use them on my rx7 also and they work great.
That's the brand I was leaning towards myself.
I typically buy the cheapest brake parts, and almost never all at once. Works fine for me.
I'm the same way, especially after getting talked into ceramic pads for an E250 service truck I had, and they were total junk.
Have been regular organic pads ever since, but then I don't do any heavy towing either.

The C350 is just a 1ton 4x4 SUV that seats 8.

Thanks!

Hydroboost made the biggest difference of anything to do with brakes on my 95 F350 crew (on 35" tires).

Been collecting the parts.
Have a hydroboost PS so far.
This rig won't see much use, weekend warrior stuff.
Have a 20' enclosed auto trailer I turned into a MC track trailer, but will now make it a camper/toy hauler.
Going to see how the 4 wheel disk brakes improve stopping over the drum rears before tearing stuff apart again after the axles.
It might get 1 or 2k miles a year.

I skipped the specific ps pump and tee'd the return lines.

I have not been impressed with the parking brake on factory rear discs so far. And I want it to grab well because my trucks are manual.

I never did use the 99-04 axle set I had for my '95. I didn't want to go unit bearing or metric pattern, so there wasn't enough 'gain' to bother.

I haven't heard anything negative about unit bearings. I agree the 8x170mm sucks if your already set up on 8x6.5in., but aside from 4 wheel disk they also come with 3:73 gears, a perfect upgrade.
I am concerned about the parking brake as I swapped to a zf5 myself, figure I'll cross that bridge when I get there.
Especially with the limited manufacture of the old wheels.
I'm hoping for a better ride.
