dash panel clips?

most of the clips were broke on my dash panels when I bought the truck. Is there a way to deal with this without dropping a bunch of money. It's a 93 f350 work truck. nothing for show but its aggravating. Thanks

guess I worded that wrong. the actual hard plastic piece broke. The part that is molded into say the instrument panel

I have the same issue. I am working on a solution but its probably a heckuva lot easier to just buy a new one from LMC.

i have found that a particular door retaining clip is long enough and fits just about right into those holes.

Couple of hiccups: first being the holes are slightly too small so I had to drill them out a smidge.
Second I had to burr out the hole to make the slot thin to the clip would sink its teeth into it.

ive already welded and used some 3m semi-ridgid plastic repair to hold the main parts in place.
Now getting the other half in has kicked my tail, still working on it but ill get it eventually.

photos are NOT the clip im using, but to give the general idea of what im doing.

I found a brand new OEM Ford on e-bay for $60... I'm glad i broke down and got it. Fits great and most my dash squeaks went away.
