It's only about 2 hrs away from me but I don't have an extra g floating around to throw at it. I just need to get my truck together first.

I just looked at your tire chart. It appears to state that a 285/75LT16 tire is BOTH 32.8 and 35 inches in diameter. A 315/75R16 tire is about 34.6 inches in diameter.

If it were me, I'd probably get some military surplus 37s. Relatively cheap and they supposedly wear like iron. Not so great in the mud from what I've read, though.

Good catch, copy and paste must have got me. The other tire should be a 285 85 r16. I have not confirmed all the sizes for sure but went off of what Mr google said those tire diameters should be.

My tires are fairly new so I will probably just suck it up for now until I line up some military tires or find another transmission. Maybe both LOL I don't have much else to do while my truck is frozen. Even started trying to layout the numbers for a compound turbo set up.

Well its not a big update but I am working on my slave cylinder mount. I have the initial layout for the slave mount now I just need to make the arm to mount to the shaft to move the throw out bearing.

I am really looking forward for the weather to warm up and dig back into this project.

After I confirmed that the slave cylinder fit ok I welded up some ramps and cleaned it up.

I then mounted the bracket on the other plate I made to mount on the side of the transmission.

It's only tacked in place until I figure out my clutch geometry. I still have to put together the clutch arm on the transmission side. I had one mostly made up but I didn't like the fit so I am starting over on that one.

Well since it was a little cooler today with warm weather in the for cast I decided to work on top of the truck. A friend of mine hooked me up with a 3 g alternator from a yard with a rebuild sticker on it for 20!

It looked like it would almost be a drop in until I looked at the lower mount.

At least the pulley swap was an easy 30 seconds with an impact.

I cut the ear off the back of the factory mount and made an adapter that could bolt onto the back of it.

Next I decided to fix the lower water outlet that I broke off early on. I found some pipe that would match the 2 inch o.d. the factory system uses. I welded up then ground down the retaining lip.

I welded that up to some 3/8 plate I cut to fit the opening.

A couple of new bolts and some paint and a couple more things knocked off the to do list today.

Some small progress, I got the transfer case brackets pulled and welded up from the tacks I had holding them together.

Got a ramp welded up on either side to match the frame.

And brought them in to torture my wife by painting them inside. LOL I also got some of my core support welded up but I have more to do on that. Once I hard mount the transfer case I can start making some drive shafts.
