No, I think Believer45 missed something.

This was a double post - an identical one was made over at TDS. the moderator over there didn't like it, so he locked it.

yea i figured they inflated the #'s a bit but i know the ATS kit works absolute wonders with the right gears, pump settings and the right mechanic doing the instal! (my old man hads a 92 at/w ats, 4" exh, pump turned up and 3.73's; lets just say if dad knew how fast i had that truck back in highschool i wouldnt be here today!! guessing 140!!!! :rotflmao :D) as for the stock setup i knew it was about pathetic we bolted one on a 90 service truck of ours and u cant really tell any difference!!! oh by the way diesel jd, a 5' tire bar fixed the clearence issue! :D :D

How could you get one so fast - the gear ratio was the biggest hold back on the E - 4:10 gears and I made Mel (agnem) give his classic groan when he looked over at the dash and seen where the RPM needle was pointing... Even with 3.55 gears I would venture maybe 105 at best...

hey goat-
I have a official Texas "warning" stating I was running 104 via radar
4.10's in the back, ZF5 in the middle. 3200 on the tach. Speedo was way pinned. I slowed down to 85 after that "warning"
Dave85 can also swear my f450 will run 85+ with 4.56's in the rear. tach is bouncing off the governor at 3600. He didn't think I was going to make it from SJ to Manteca just a little over an hour. I proved him wrong :rotflmao

I've had the governors on my pumps reset higher. highest you want to go is 3800. I had them set at 3600. tire sizes on both the f350 and f450 are 235/85r16. The f350 was the 104mph runner. There was still some throttle left too  The TxDPS guy was really curious what I did to the truck and spent darn near a half hour talking and looking under the hood. I know he lurks on this site. ;Sweet

Maybe I need to check the gear ratio sometime. Maybe it has something else in it. That would explain why I can start off in second gear with a decent load.

I have 215/85R16 tires. Will that make that much of a difference?

215's are a little smaller but not make as much of a difference you are reporting. here's a snapshot from this afternoon. look at the mph and the tach. I could have went faster but there was a ton of traffic around me today.

mine's there at around 77.

65 is over 2500

55 is over 2000
Somehow I have a feeling you have 4.56's in the back or 5.13's....if it takes you little to no effort to get rolling and top out that soon, I really doubt you are at 4.10....but then again, I may have been geared down too. who knows...

yea i think i was at 3500 with an E4OD :puke: i also think she had 285-75-16's on her (not too smart to put that much power to that tranny i know from experience if u know wat i am sayin!, but it was a blast) i was guessing at the 140 because it took the spedo 8 SECONDS TO COME BACK OFF THE PEG!!!!!! :rotflmao towcat and napa, i'd say 4.88 or 5.13 (with the gears he has it would make quite a big difference i gor a ticket for 92 in a 65 -cuss in another truck and the spedo was saying 80), i'd bet u could pull one hell of a load but that truck is still faster :D :kick:

The fastest you can go period at stock governor with an E4OD and 4.10 gears is 105,bump the governor up to 3600RPM you can get up to 114 but considering I could rev the Enterprise up to 4000RPM in neutral(*** did you do Travis?!?!?!?!) she can do 127.With 373 gears and stock Gov you can turn 115MPH.But with 3.55 in OD with a gear vendor and bumped up Governor(3600) 170MPH(Muh Ha ha ha).
