Yeah, that's a lot of noise. Does seem to be a boiling sound.
If you have a temp gun, maybe try checking Temps in/out on the condenser, pump, etc.

Kind of regret not going straigth R134..at least can pick up cans anywhere vs waiting for these to ship off amazon/ebay...

Yeah, do they offer any kind of satisfaction guarantee? Lol
I've seen other people use it and didn't seem to have any problems.

i sure hope so. friggin went through 5 cans total now! one was my fault-used the wrong spring clamp on the oriface valve, so i blew 2 cans out. but these 3...camannnnnnn!

ill record all temps, pressures tonight post it here, and then call buddy back tomorrow with my findings see what he suggests.

It seems you don't pull a vacuum because it goes in at a liquid state. Some I'm guessing once it's in and pressurized, it turns to a gas.
I'm not exactly sure how all of it works.
Gonna see if I can do more research.

For sure somethings not right.
On mine the line's at the pump, the suction line (?) Is very cold.

Just to Go back over everything.
Which size cans did you get?
Is it the R134A replacement? Or the equivalent?

the guy said all of their 6 oz cans regardless of the label are meant to work in either r12 or r134 systems, provided they are clear and empty first.
the suction line is definityl cold, and sweating. but when i measure with temp gun (and it is accurate, my skin temp is 98ish) it is rigth at 80F.

ill see what guy says today. Could it be an incorrect oriface tube??

I'm not sure how the orifice tube sizes affect the system.
Was just wondering, one of them they say you can do a vacuum with.

Talked eith jim at enviro safe.
He says everything looks good except hi side pressure should be closer to 200 at that low sode and temp.
Hes sayin he had a case where the oriface tube was inseeted backwards.
Now i put my new one in the same way the old one came out of the old drier. The screen mesh part goes into the lower loop of the drier first ya?

Dont habe a removal tool i just put it in when the system was new and open. i think i put it in where the long mesh goes in first (yo the drier) and thr orings sit closer to the acrual line.

So i inserted it this way

Drier tube -----------|--|---| Line from condenser

Hope that makes sense.

So assumingi put it in backwarfd, how can i recover the refrigerant so i can reuse it?

Yeah, seems the smaller white end goes in first.
For recovery, I've wandered about taking something like a empty propane tank, pulling a vacuum on it, and using that.
Even taking the compressor from a freezer to use as the pump.
So vacuum tank, then suction line to ac system, discharge line to tank.

I can recover maybe 1 can worth by usign the old one since it has no pressure, then filling it till it equalizes pressures. I ordered 3 more cans, $20. cheaper than taking time to find a fridge compressor etc etc.
i hope for keeping my butt cold's sake i did in fac tinstall it backwards... well see.
