What psi should i see for fuel? I put a gauge in between the rubber line where it was connected to the water separator and at idle i get a bouncing gauge between 0 and 1psi, i think this is to low even with the return system, right? I need to know because the idi weekend is near and i have a budget of money that i can spend between now and then, and there is some other stuff i could replace in the meantime. If i have to i will get a spare electric.

You should see 6 to 8 pounds at the inlet to the IP I believe.
