Instead of trying to figure out where TDC is. Why not just start turning the engine with a breaker bar until the tension is released from the pump.

I put a stud into the block in place of the aft fuel pump bolt. It's way easier to get a nut on that stud than to get the bolt started.

Great! Only a pity that I already have my pump mounted before I read all this :-(
I have had a hard time installing my pump, most of it because it was hard to install the bolts, and then specially, aligning the bolt holes against the spring pression, That was the hardest.

Thanks for the info though.

PS only thing that I need to do now is testing if the problem is gone now, I.e. testing what the pressures do at different revolutions?

well, testing done, see the results:
could it be that the jumping of the needle in the first one indicates lots of air in the fuel? (after all it was a dry pump?) you see later on in the second it almost dissapears.

well, Had the test drive, I think my problem is solved now.
running byways for 1H30, and nothin special occurred, did all,apart highway's.
running slow, accelerating slowly, downhill, and even Foot to the metal up to 60 Miles/h and no hesitation.
I think she's cured now? what do you think?
Though For the first two weeks I guess I stay a bit in the neighbourhood, just in case of....
