I'm still amazed by the craftsmanship going into this go ahead and give yourself a pat on the back, Brian; you well and truly deserve it!
For that matter, IIRC I've heard that powder coating shops sometimes do a discount for a bulk job, and my wheels need paint as well. I have silver engine enamel rattle cans that I'm planning to use on the rims; should hold up well to brake heat and chemicals, but depending on how well powder-coating holds up by comparison, I imagine going that route would make them look cleaner if nothing else. Things that make you go "Hmm"...

Makes sense, but how does powder coating do on something like this? I'm not one to play bumper cars, but I'm sure the bumper'll get scratched up fairly quickly...which might be an argument for just using a rattle can and touching up as needed, but I defer to people who actually know what they're talking abouti wouldnt use bedliner,
every bumper ive seen with bedliner looks like sheet after about a year.

Paint matching's no problem; I had no intention of doing the bumper in body-color...the bumper's black right now; I'm thinking of either keeping it black or going with silver to match the rims (the rest of the truck's either going to be all-white or white over dark blue; leaning strongly towards the latter but $$ may come into play). And, I'm mechanically inclined, but to put it charitably, my painting skills suck...if I were to go the bedliner route, I'd pay someone to do it at the same time that the bed gets doneThe diy kits aren't very good.
Now if you take it in to line-x or similar, that's a different story. Lifetime warranty.
What I don't like, is paint matching to the truck.
