Help.... Steam/Smoke or something coming out from under the hood...
Ill try and get a pic of it, put it on the lift at my brothers shop, pulled the cdr and damaged hose and kinda re-engineered it so it fits tighter, will have to see in the morning if it still doing it. but did find massive oil leaks from the front timing cover, somewhere between the engine and...- smokin150

Help.... Steam/Smoke or something coming out from under the hood...
like the title says, i have what appears to be smoke or steam coming from under the hood when the truck is running. i only notice it at idle. i have had the cdr off and it looks like someone rigged it because there is a hollowed out socket holding two halves together... i dont think its water...- smokin150

water pump question
I'm talking about the big goofy reverse threaded nut on the fan clutch. I currently have the viscous fan clutch setup, don't really want to go to an e-fan setup. I know there has been a lot of discussion on the horton electromagnetic fan clutches for the PS trucks and i know they wont work with...- smokin150

water pump question
real quick, cant seem to find what im looking for with the search feature, anyone know what the thread size and pitch is for the water pumps on our old trucks, might have an electric fan and clutch asm that might just work, cant recall the thread pitch and all tho. Thanks guys.- smokin150

Exterior Lights
Been fighting this problem for a while, with all my warning strobes and extra running lights my wiring looks a bit like a rat's nest, been working from the back to the front putting it in loom and tying it to the factory harness. IDI Oil Pressure Range
Cold start mornings at idle I see about 40psi, get rolling b4 I see heat and I can see 60psi easy... Once hot about 15 low idle and 38-42psi hot at 2200 rpm Edit: I have 407291 on the clock... Never been into from what I know- smokin150

It was so low my oil gauge dropped to zero when I stopped at a sign, came back up but still low enough to cause a problem... And it's an actual gauge, not the dummy on the dash- smokin150

Ran low on oil this morning on the way to work... I'm in the middle of nowhere, I have 2qts of rotella, there is a guy I'm working with that has 2qts of semi synthetic oil for a gasser. I'm in a pinch, what damage can I do by blending the two till I can get to the store tonight? Thanks- smokin150

6.9 not running right
If you have a Napa auto place near Ya, you can get a Carter p4070 for about 50 or so dollars, plenty of flow and just the right amount of pressure. I've had mine just about a year and it's still pumpin fine.- smokin150

Best batteries to use?
Running a single group 31 from AutoZone... Haven't had any problems out of it... The last one from advance auto lasted about a year then melted linternally. guess that's what I get for only running one battery. Never left me stranded tho. 950cca 1185ca 125rc screw post.- smokin150

Never knew not to wash them down hot... I usually drive to car wash and use their hot water washer with the engine running... Have sucked up some water tho... Talk about noise and smoke...- smokin150

Yet another glow plug thread...
With the cold season upon me, i gavé notices m'y wts light not coming on and when it does it's off very fast and clicks... Knowing what is the cause , I get out my test light and find cyl 5,7,and 8 gp burnt out... Ok replace them, upon removal cyl 7 has some white cheese looking stuff on the...- smokin150
