ok, driving down the road this morning and ****... magic smoke from the instrument cluster area... all gauges but the speedo droped to zero or the low end of range... pulled the cluster to find several broken points in the board. has anyone tried to repair them and if so how, or should i just replace it. If replacement is needed can i use a gasser unit and just swap out my fuel/oil gauge and tach or do i need a diesel one. On a side note the cause of the burnout was a bunch of chaffed wires in feeding the cluster, that has been repaired... just need to get this together fast as i leave for Cali in a few weeks and need everything to be working. Truck is currently sitting at the shop getting the whole front end rebuilt... was a little worn out. Thanks again.

That year a gasser cluster will work.
I think the only thing different is the tach.
obs seems to be the only diesel specific one. Least from what I've heard.
