With the cold season upon me, i gavé notices m'y wts light not coming on and when it does it's off very fast and clicks... Knowing what is the cause , I get out my test light and find cyl 5,7,and 8 gp burnt out... Ok replace them, upon removal cyl 7 has some white cheese looking stuff on the tip, cyl 5 just has carbon and well cyl8 looks like something has been chewing on it... Any thoughts as to what may cause this? I know wwear is probably a factor as the truck has 405k on it and has never been gone thru.

Always nice to see a high mileage idi. 405k is great.
The "chewing" might be from a leaky injector and fuel burning when its not supposed to like waaayyy to advanced in the cylinder with the leaky injector. The white stuff on number 7 beats me.....maybe coolant getting in? Does the engine go through coolant?
