    Fuel additive

    I was wondering what I can add to my fuel to help lubricate the injection pump. I usually add about 1 oz 2 stroke oil per gallon in my Powerstroke and I have heard that automatic trans fluid works well in an IDI to help the injection pump. What are you folks using in yours.

    I keep hearing about dual mass flywheels but in all my life all I have ever seen on cars, trucks and tractors has been a flywheel, clutch disc, pressure plate and release bearing. What is a dual mass clutch setup.

    Oil Pressure

    What kind of oil pressure are you guys getting from your 7.3. I ran a mechanical gauge to mine this weekend and I have 40 lbs is this high, low or about average for these engines. I would love to see 60 or better but if 40 is good then I am gonna just run it.

    Injector torque

    Do you hoodlums just tighten them up or is there a torque value. I am replacing all of mine and sending the old ones out to be gone through. I am using anti sieze on the new ones and cleaning out the holes with a brush and a little carb cleaner

    Muffler removal

    Has anyone just removed their muffler and tossed it in the trash and went with a straight pipe. I did that with my 6.0 Powerstroke and you couldn`t tell any difference in fact I think it runs better without it. I am thinking about doing that with my 89 7.3 any suggestions?

    Guys I have these injectors and glow plugs that have been in my cabinet for 4 or 5 years now. My 7.3 runs good but has 150k miles on it. I`m thinking about changing everything out when I change my injector return lines. And input on this?

    Wont start

    Coolant additive

    Do I need to use an SCI coolant additive to my 6.0 like I use in my 7.3 IDI. I just added a coolant filter and I can get a filter with the additive in it if I need to.
