    Dual Batteries

I pulled that skinny "lawn mower bat" out of my van, bought a pr. Of 31c's, fully expecting to do lots of surgery to install the one. Surprise it shimmied right in there no cutting! Don't get me wrong, it's tight..... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    E4od shifting funny

Mine was driving a little different, but I was sure it was the TPS. Yea, the tach sensor fixed it.... Some consolation, there pretty easy to get at. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Got a 94 4x4 F250 that has been sitting for about 8 months

You can swap to the international water pump if you wish to eliminate the thread on fan clutch. It's otherwise the same. Do your homework on coolant. Get the right stuff with SCA. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Starters for grinding ring gears

I replaced my original oversized starter with a Mitsu style and noted it has a slightly larger gear on the starter and an additional tooth as well. It was from DB electric. I was reluctant to use the replacement and double checked the application. Finally just tried it and no issues. Been...

    At TImes A Noist Injector???

I've got one that's been doing the same thing for years. I sometimes run 50/50. ATF/Diesel and the noise disappears. Figure it's the thicker fuel. Temp might be causing the coming and going. Is it quieter when cold? Fuel less viscous. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Transmission Fluid Leaking

    Let's talk filtration

I hate to admit all the crap I've run in the last few years. I use a large pre-filter at the tank (FS1067 I think) and just decided to replace it with a NAPA gold 3417 so it doesn't hang down. (Well I guess that's a junk filter!) just stock style spin-on at the head. Guess I'll replace that...

Anyone tried this 4,000 rpm tach in their slant nose IDI?

Does the pick-up measure each toolt, or just one embedded magnet? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Ac system repair

Since your charging by weight, use r134 small cans and you may not need the gauges.. Convert to r134 while it's empty, nothing to it. When you pull the orifice tube you'll get a pretty good idea of what your up against, any particles are reaped there. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Headlight Switch, Dimmer Switch, Relay Mod(s), etc.

Most part stores sell breakers that will install in place of " normal" fuses. Also bolt on ckt.breakers are readily available. It just resets automatically after an overload condition. I approached the issue a different way, installed LED headlamps that use way less power and can run on 6 -...

TECH 101 Windshield removal and install...

I was watching a pro working on a new truck, using a plastic spoon attachment on a sawzall. That's a first for me. Looked to be getting the job done well. They reused the glass.

    Transmission line replacement

If your more comfortable with barbs, you can buy and solder brass ones in place. Or use a compression fitting.

How much voltage and when to glow plugs

Well if the solenoid is "stuck on" the glow plugs will stay on all the time! Engine/key not even on... So that's prob. not the deal. Adding a ground circuit to the terminal where the white wire is will activate the solenoid, only when the key is on. You will be able to hear the solenoid...

Coolant Filter - Bypass or In-line

There's a second set of ports available that my vans rear heater use(d). One at the top of the water pump, one at the back of the intake (dr side). This would be a good opportunity for a clean mount. All set-ups are bypass.

    Fuel filter options?

I do something similar, the rear tank is my "blended" tank. It was easy and cost effective to add a large pre-filter in the back and all though my climate doesn't require heating it would be easy to do. As a plus the filters can be cheaper with the right choose of mount also.

So what did you do with your truck today?

New starter. DB elec. hi torque. Bendix has 13 teeth. Orig? had 12.... Seems fine? Installed the rear Bilstien shocks that have been riding around in the back for the last three months. My bad! Shocks were original. 230k. Prob.a little overdue. LED "Truck lites". Nice upgrade if...

Another semi useless tdi bit of info: the larger the R number is the more environmentally friendly it is.

So what did you do with your truck today?

"Is there a junkyard swap for a bigger tank?" It's been years, but, I swapped an E350 tank in the rear and added an extra 10 gal. All you need is the matching straps. Sent by wing, prayer & ATT
