Will my wife ever like my truck?

My wife isn't too big on my truck either, but anytime we go on a roadtrip she wants to take the truck because it's bigger (safer) and the whole family fits comfortably.

Yes your wife will love your truck. Here is how:

A few years ago my wife was complaining.... "When are you gonna get rid of that nasty old truck? you probably spend $100 a month fixing it up, keeping it running."
So I said, "Ok, come with me."
we went on down to 'prince ford' in douglas, I walked her up to the diesel truck section, showed her the $45k price tag, and said "pick out whatever color you want me to have"

she loves my old worn out trucks that need regular repair.... both of them.

My wife doesn't seem to mind my DD CC dually. Doesn't care for the fact that that it is smelly, drippy, rattly and all the other things we have come to love. It's real convenient when she wants to go get something or when we are going camping but hates the fuel mileage, approx. 15 MPG. We sold a chevy lumina 4 door car that got 21 MPG and got the truck. I tell her sure it's not as good on fuel as the car BUT... I can carry 3-4 times the lumina's gross weight without flinching. We had to get a load of firewood a few weeks ago, when we got to where it was the ground was deeply rutted but firm. So I dropped in first, let out the clutch and without touching the loud petal went anywhere I wanted to go. Loaded up and rolled right out without a problem. But she still likes her tiny chevy cobalt that gets 32 MPG.

The GF loves the truck... may not look like much yet but better than the old bronco rust bucket that she was embarased to ride in... She likes it even more when she sees the fuel bill every months and its less than 1/2 of what it used to be. I went fron over $300 a month just driving back and forth to work (less than 3k each way) to driving all over the place now and only spending about $90 per month on fuel... Best $3500 i ever spent

my gal has an 04 Ranger...not a big truck but still a truck and a Ford. had it since new, never wanted a car either. she wants her own 92-97 F-150 flairside and bronco...still not an IDI but we can change that. but she loves my smelly old oil burner. slowly teaching her how to handle the hand shaker, but she cant push the clutch in all the way w/o the seat being up real far haha. OTOH, she absolutly loves my 93 and would rather drive that than her Ranger.

Even though my wife says she likes my truck,I don't believe her one bit. Actions speak louder then words. I think she's just jealous thats all.

my wife likes my truck and has no problem driving it, she is actaully jelouse my truck is stick shift and her car isent. she even bleeds the fuel system everytime she drives it by herself since i need to change out the injectors and do a return line kit. now thats a woman, i think you need to get her on board from the start.

Must be the country girl thing. Mine is from northern WI, 30 miles off the Lake. She wouldn't let me sell the 89 f250 when money got tight and it pissed me off. She was thrilled when I found the flatbed for the grad present. Her only ***** was I need to fix the smoking thing....and as long as she didn't have to drive behind it again, she would love it because I love it. Plus she was ecstatic when she found it out it was a 5 speed.

Although, I don't think I'll let her drive it. The last time she drove the 3/4 ton she came home to tell me about threatening to monster truck over some ****** in a porsche in the walmart parking lot. Then yesterday was wishing the diesel was running so she could plow through traffic....literally. Sigh...what's a guy to do?

my now ex thought the truck was ok, but she has a 05 CC cummins 4x4 dually so mine is referred to as the old rust pos. plus she doesn't like a stick

My girlfriend loves my truck and cant wait till i teach her how to drive it, she keeps telling me how much she loves sitting up higher then everyone else on the road

Good trucks are hard to find. Good squeezes are even harder to find. I'm glad to have found both, and I won't let go of either, soon, if I can help it!

well I guess i'm really lucky, tho at first my girlfriend was disappointed when she took me to pick up my new truck(86 f250 6.9 4x4 4 speed). I gutted the interior and made it all purty like, put a decent sound system in it, and a nice cb. after that she required me to take her to prom in my ratty old truck. She now loves my truck and can't wait to see what I do to it next.

After two weeks of convincing, I actually had my wife on board with the idea of taking the truck up to the snow for christmas (out here in Ca, we have to go looking for snow) But, she actually agreed with me last friday to take it!

I was so excited to drive my truck up Hwy. 50 to Lake Tahoe, then yesterday she did the ole' bait and switch on me... "Why don't we take your truck up there some other time, you know, after you get some tires for it"


WOMEN! HA! So, the question... How do you get your wife to wanna ride in the truck with you? Is it even possible??

Since I will be away from the computer for the next few days, I will be without my OB.net fix, and will most certainly be having withdrawls. Merry Christmas to all!!!

That sound like you got a set of tires out of the deal keep asking her to go places and your truck will get all kinda new goodeees
