So before doing an oil change, i decided to try a sea foam hot soak.
Been wanting to try it and it sounded like a great way to tick off my neighbor the illegitimate daughter of Satan and Gladys Kravitz.

I do the steps and let her soak for 15 minutes. Hop in grinning as I turn her over and what do I get? Nutun..... Zip, noda, not a single puff of smoke! Gunned her, took her on the freeway, nothing.

I guess it's a good sign but not the fun i was hoping for:cool:

Warm up your engine then shut it off.
Remove your old fuel filter.
Install a new filter filled with seafoam.
Start your engine.
Let it run for 2 minutes.
Shut it off and let the seafoam soak into any carbon for 5 to 15 minutes.
Restart your engine.

At this point most of the videos show huge clouds of smoke coming out the tailpipe.

Now you want to drive it hard while varying the rpm's for about 30 minutes
By then the smoking should have stopped.

If I try this again, I may go for the "bottle" method.
You change out the filters, same as above, but you also put some seafoam into a see through container. You run the pickup line, before the filter, into the container and you also run the fuel return line into it. Bypassing the fuel tank.
This let's you run it without mixing the seafoam with diesel.
I'd alternate between running and soaking until just before you start sucking air from the container. Then reconnect your lines and take her on the road.
The company says it's safe to run a diesel on 100% seafoam so it should work great.

Disclaimer! If she goes BOOM, it ain't my fault. Go after the company. But I'm pretty sure it's safe.
