Was out 4 wheeling yesterday and broke my front drive shaft.

Truck specs: 1985 Ford F350 4wd with 6.9 l diesel engine. Believe Dana 60 front differential.

U-joint specs": 1+1/16th across cap, 3.75 inches across U-joint.

In ford manuals part is call rear slip yoke. It is slip yoke on FRONT drive shaft and bolts to Dana 60 yoke.

Tried Rock auto and could not find part.

Low on funds, would like good used part and suggestions on where to buy inexpensive after market part.

Thank You.

Okay, think see why my u-joint broke and broke the yoke.

I wrote in previous post "It is slip yoke on FRONT drive shaft and bolts to Dana 60 yoke."

Looks at my Ford manual...some previous owner put my front drive shaft in BACKWARDS!!!!

According to manual...the rear slip yoke on front drive shaft is suppose to bolt to transfer case....and the double cardan u-joint is suppose to mount to Dana 60 front axle

#$@@D@!!!!!

Of well, idiots happen.

Double cardan should be on the transfer case, slip yoke towards axle. Not sure about the yoke itself, but you can buy the whole shaft from napa. Not cheap.

What is the diameter of the splines, the spline count, and the overall length of the slip yoke? I may have one but there are different spline sizes and counts ford liked the use
