valve cover gaskets

I like the rubber gaskets with metal rings at the bolt holes (Victor Reinz/Felpro). I don't like the cork gaskets personally, they can be a real PITA to get off and make a mess. I put a thin layer of silicone on the edges of the gasket before install. Don't over tighten the bolts either, it can distort the gasket and cause leaks.

ok the head gaskets are metal any idea what they are? mine on my 89 aren't like these on the 93

ya I can post some idk the brand but when I changed the Oil I burnt myself touching the head gasket on the manifold cause they were different than the ones on my truck

The gaskets are silver metal thats all i know that I can see I tried takin pic its not clear can the valve cover gaskets leak and make it look like its the oil cooler theres no oil smell but its on the oil cooler and filter

I still have my factory head gaskets in the garage
Ill post pics of them later. But they are metal unlike the felpros I put in.
