Ok, I was looking at a couple of threads and saw one that talked about oil needed for a vacuum pump. I just put a reman pump on my truck and did not know anything about needing oil. I have noticed that the pump makes noise so mayne i was suposse to put oil in it ***.
My next ?. Is there any way to check or put oil in the pump without having to pull the pump off the engine? I do not waht to have to rent the tool again to remove and reinstall the pully. I have a 1992 with the serp belt.
Please give me some good news.
Thanks

just remove the 2 mounting bolts and the belt. pull the pump up and remove the hose. no need to remove the pully. remove the 10mm headed bolt in the middle of the back and add oil in that hole. it only holds 1/2oz or so. plan on a whole 20 minutes to do this

I thought I had to take the pully off to remove the bolts? That is how I removed the old one and installed the new one
