Uh, what's this part to?

Okay, my curiosity is peaking here... Bought a nice 86 F250 XLT Lariat - 4x4 C6 with 136k... Doing some much needed upkeep on the truck, I noticed the air cleaner dish has a black rubber hose coming off it. This hose has been cut off, and I can't for the life of me - find where it would have gone...

Anyone know?

Its probably just the drain... it is just there to give any water that might find its way up in there somewhere to go other than into your motor.

ok, I didn't even think to see if it sits inside the filter ring or outside - if it is on the outside then there shouldn't be any issues?
