thoughts on pluging in the rig

i don't see why it would matter. i have my timer plugged into the wall, then the cord to the truck. go a max of 10 ft' with mine.

I had to buy an industrial cord thats 50 feet long- it then feeds the Liberty, Jetta TDI and an IDI heater. Never had a problem with the heavy gauge cords. The timer is in the garage.

Ok, this cord is 12 ga cord. In that case i will leave the timer at the house.

Good call, easier to get to in case you need to make adjustments and less likely to run it over;Really Electrically its not going to make a big difference. The #12 fine strand cord is a better wire than what is used to wire your house, It will take 25 amps, no problem;Sweet Good for the length you're running.
