Hello, I have a 1988 -89 f-350 with a 7.3l .I rebuilt the motor and am almost ready to fire it up but I'm sort of lost.
Here's my problem ...I have three wires left to hook up to the motor
one wire goes to one of the temp senders at the front of the motor the other wire goes to the other temp sender and one goes to the oil pressure sender at the back of the motor.
Problem is they all are long enough to go to any of the senders and they all have the same end on the wires.

If you can tell me what color wires go to what I would be forever grateful. Thank-you....Joe

god this is off the top of my head so someone else chime in here, but *i think* there's a yellow that goes to temp light on the head, i think either bluish or purple goes to oil on back of engine, and i think other one was green or brown and went to temp guage near the IP......... are these out of the loom? cuz the two temps (light and guage) are bundled on mine. again, totally off top of my head.

I have a 94, so I don't know if this helps. I only have 1 temp switch and it has a red wire with a white stripe. My oil pressure sender has a white wire with a red stripe. Other than that the only help I can give is you only have 9 combinations to try. The process of elimination may be slow, but it can't hurt.

From my AllData:

Oil pressure- white/red tracer
Coolant temp- red/white tracer
Overheat warning switch-red/white tracer
RPM sensor-dark blue/yellow tracer and black/yellow tracer
