Tach Adjustment

The engine on moms '01 was not winding up more than halfway according to the tach. Last time it did this it was he lift pump. Sounded differant this time. Dealership checked pressure and it was fine. Adjusted tach to solve problem. Anybody shed any light on this procedure? I only see this pickup once in a while and try to give it a good going over when I do.

Drove after "fixed", tach still only reading half when against governer. Any body know the mph shift points for an '01 with an auto? Anybody ever heard of these tachs being adjustable?

tachs are not adjustable.....
as for shift points...it will vary with throttle position. wot, it should shift at about 2200-2500.
