Well I found my dream truck today...well sorta! This truck is a 73 ford f350 srw 2wd with a ..... 4-53 detroit and with a allison auto. behind it. Its in Snead Al. for sale...$6500 I'll try to get pictures soon. Tim

I did alot of work on the 6V-53T I just love the sound of the turbo spoolong and the blower whining....2 strokes rock

We run 4-71s in generators and 6V-53s in hydraulic test stands. the 53s run at 2500 rpm, holy cow that just sounds cool. once in awhile we'll get in an A/C unit the size of a semi trailer (for cooling the AWACS) that has the 8V-92TA in it. Air start too- yeehaaww!
