I talked to a freind that is an over the road driver. He told me that when the winter diesel runs out, we are going to the new low sulphur stuff. Will we need to run additives for the lubricity issues?

Don't know about or didnt' know about the change coming this soon on the fuel but I will say that mine has stared to roll a little more black since the locals here have switched to "summer fuel". I know last fall she did not roll black like she does now when we were finishing up the "summer fuel" from last year.

Now for adding or using additives - isn't the Dmax a common rail system which according to my buddy who's a Diesel Injection Engineer with Delphi he says that one of the advantages to common rail is not having to worry so much about lube in the fuel. I'll give him a call this weekend and pick his brain a little more on it to make sure that I understood him correctly.

Have been working on heavy diesel in the past. They definetly have a different fuel system.
