Goofyexponent
Mentally Unstable..

Which one of you deported Murphy BACK to Canada?!?!?!

I go out this morning and change out my washer fluid motor for the wipers, not a big deal. I checked ALL the fluids and got ready to back it in the garage as far as I could to check and adjust eh rear brakes, check the rear gear oil level and have a general good look at things. Put the key in, GP's light off.....push the start button and it's like my batteries are stone dead.
So, I tried one more time....same story...starter BARELY cranks.
I take the connections off the batteries, clean them up. they wern't dirty anyways, but I clean ed them again and put the dielectric grease back on them.
No change. Pull the wires of the starter solenoid on the fender..No change. Tried to cross the fender solenoid over....no change again.
Pull the wires off the starter, clean them up and STILL no change.
That leaves the block grounds. Clean and tight.
GREAT. yank the starter off. The end of the drive cog where it sits in the case has like 1/4" of back and forth play in it. It's hotter than HELL and I never cranked it for more than a total of 9 seconds over a 2 minute period.
So, I have come to the conclusion....the starter is FUBARed!!
Showed NO signs of giving up, worked GREAT in the cold snaps we had last week. It just decided to up and die this morning

Thank Murphy of Murphy's law!
As soon as I get my hands on him, he is headed back across the border!!!

....Thanks you guys!!!!
