Rough starting

Here's the deal. I'm new to the diesel world. I bought a '97 F-250 7.3. It just turned 100,000. When it sits overnight it takes about 3-4 attempts so start up and it idles rough for the first 15 seconds. It starts fine when its warm. What should I look for or fix?

Glow plug relay and or glow plugs themselves.

Like Mike said, I would start by checking the glow plug relay and glow plugs.

I had a simular problem and it was my oil pump.

i had that issue and ended up changing glow plugs, relay, wiring harness, valve cover gaskets, and the CPS. way fun.
