rear brake line

on my 91 I was putting the sway bar on and pinched the rear brake line for the RR tire. The auto parts store just has brake hose to replace it and I havnt drove 30 minutes to go look at the wrong part. For the time being I was just going to take the one off of my 88 but I will need something to replace that.

Will the brake hose auto parts stores sell work or do I need to make a junkyard run?

Mat, just measure up the length of the steel line from the distribution block on top of the left axle tube to the RR wheel cylinder, then when you go to the parts store ask them for a 3/16" brake line of that length. It will be something like 40" or so and you ain't gonna find exact length, so just get the next one up, as you're better off with slightly longer tubing than with one that's a bit too short. Bend the darn thing yourself, you don't really need the special tool for this, but you can usually buy it for like $5 at the same parts store. It's an easy job really, but make sure your wheel cylinder bleeder will open first, cause if tis seized up you will need a new wheel cylinder too (a $12 part).

cool thanks, I got my 91 running last night and put the bad line on the 88 so it wouldnt leak. Iv got to go to the junk yard today so they might have it. Usually these rear ends go fast though.
