Absolutely. Adapter plate is already off. Actually have it down to a bare block. Only thing still bolted on are the oil squirters that aim at the bottom of the Pistons. I always thought that all the blocks after 93 had the turbo parts inside, but after a little research, I have found that they were made both ways. This was a NA block obviously. It has the 1/4 inch oil port on top, but the small wrist pins. I haven't opened the oil cooler bundle yet, but I am curious if it is the better one or not...

The turbo block should have C3 at the end of the casting number (not serial). Thicker main webs ;Sweet

I'm curious as to when turbo blocks were used for na applications (based on your rods). References show the na block used thru 1994... kinda odd.

I will check for the casting number tomorrow. Block is still in my FIL's shop. I will report back.

Definitely stamped c3 on the casting numbers. Interesting that it had 28 mm rods in it and the turbo casted block. Well, I am happy to have the stronger main webs. Not too much worried about the rods. They will be strong enough for me. I hate that the pistons have the heat cracks on the top of them. I would have left this engine as is if not for that.
