he 2001 F-550 rollback at work has been pulling pretty noticeably to the right lately. When I got to work for my shift (I drove the 1986 F-350, as usual), Chuck (Da Boss) collared me to drive the 550 to the shop for a much-needed alignment. When I got back, the 550 was parked, and he was looking at a paper with a sort of shell-shoked expression on his face. I asked what was wrong, and he showed me the paper. It seems 322,000 miles of hard use has taken its toll on the front end of the truck. According to the shop, it needs:

All the ball joints.
Both outer tie-rod ends.
A steering box.
The steering arm.
Steering damper.
All 4 springs.
Both shocks (leaking, and the $%*&^ things only have 20,000 miles).
The bushings in the spring eyes are shot.
LF wheel bearing noisy.

Oh, boy, this is gonna be pricey. :(

322,000 miles....well things DO wear out! It seems that the truck hadn't been in the alignment shop in a LONG time to have all of that fail at once, though!
