Hey -
workin on an 85 f-250, the brake master cylinder is out and the booster is halfway there. I have a low mile booster assembly from a 94 idi in the shop - looks like it would bolt up if I swapped the brake line nuts from the new lines to the old ones. Has anyone put a newer style cylinder/booster on the 1st gen IDI body? Is it possible?

Well it works... all you have to change is the fittings on the end of the lines, the newer unit is bigger but bolts up the same way and clears everything.

How is the pedal feel and the braking effort? I made a few attempts to see if both master cylinders had the same bore size. I believe that would have been the only trouble you might have run into.
