I have talked to the owners of the brick nose, it has been on Ebay. It seems that the truck needs a home that would appreciate the significance of this truck. It has traveled the world, gotten clearance to go through hostile areas in foreign countries, seen extreme heat and cold. I thought it would fit in the Henry Ford Museum but I'm not sure they would see it in the same light.

Whats even more surprising is that the Turtle II was a 3/4 ton Chevy and it was deemed problematic. The iconic GM engines were found lacking, both big block and smallblock. I am sure the Ford and Mopar engines would have had the same problems, wet ignition systems and poor fuel quality abroad and poor economy. The 6.9/7.3 IDI brought unparalleled reliability to this expedition. From what I have seen, the brick nose and OBS IDI's would be more reliable than the F550 that replaced them. A real testament to our vintage truck.
