I went out to start truck and it would not fire. After looking around I noticed that the wait to start light would cycle and not dim the lights. I'm thinking it could be the relay on the controller. I have not performed any check as it was dark out. Will investigate more tomorrow. Is the relay replaceable or do you have to replace the entire glow plug controller?

The realy is replaceable. You take the wire and metal leads off noting were they go and the two bolts, or nuts depending on the setup. And reverse to install. They are pretty easy to check. put a volt meter on the output and make sure that there is no large volt drop.

You can "jump" across the glow-plug relay, just like "jumping" across a starter-relay, and see if the glow-plugs will then cycle.

i dont have the wiring diagram to look at right now, but by looking at it, you should be able to locate the problem component by checking out which wire would still come on for the light to work, and then go backwards from there.
