I jsut stripped the fill plug on my diff. Musta tightened the dang thing to tight last time Doh!-cuss

Rather than go thru the process of welding a piece of 3/8" stock in the fill plug...

The ford cover has drain/fill capabilities? Otherwise it's time for a Mag Hytec.

OEM aluminum, finned cover (08 Super Duty) from directfordparts.com for $41.76. Part #8C3Z-4033-A

I bought 12 longer bolts (5/16-18 x 1.25)for $.50 each from my local ACE Hardware.

I just bought one of the mag hytech jobs, VERY nice... just make sure you have enough clearance to the rear. I'm waiting on my new creeper to get here before I take on an hour or so of pecking away with the plasma cutter on some tire rack brackets and having to restructure the mess under there

I was looking at both mag hytec, AFE. The AFE is finned inside and out. It's gotta dissapate more heat that way?
