what it the best gear oil to put into the transmission of my 91 f150 3006, 5 speed. Im not having much luck finding out what I need
need some gasser advice

like the zf5, it also benefits from the use of redline MTL or synchromax transmission fluid.
I run the MTL in my ZF5 and ran it before in my old 89 and 2001 ranger with the M5OD built by Mazdarati.

Yeah, if you run a synthetic in there, you will be happy. If you were having problems, this can make them all better (notice I said can). I had a 77K tranny in my SC that was hard to go into 1st if you took your foot off of the clutch. Within a few miles, you had to go 3,2, 1 to start in first if you did this. Filled it up with some Royal Purple and a bottle of friction modifier and the problem went away. Lasted another 30k with me beating the **** out of it before I lost a 3/4 blocker ring (I think...still have not pulled it apart).
So yeah, run synthetic ATF.
