That is awesome, I never hear much about nissan Diesels? could it have much power? and what trans could it have? Nissan or what would bolt up?

Thats a Nissan SD-33, same as IH used in the Scouts, the Chrysler connection was Chrysler marine. Jeep also used them in the CJ-10A aircraft tug. They are most common in marine apps, and were also used in forklifts.
Not overly powerfull, but in a light rig like that, probably plenty.

What he said...I'm surprised he didn't use the turbocharged variant. I'm curious to see how it does for power and real-world fuel economy...
