I do believe you'd get wood for a 'Zuki that's here in Oz.

K-5 Blazer axles, stretched nose, 350/TH350. All under Corvette yellow. A guy who runs an Ag mechanic shop built it for his wife to drive, when then go down to Little Sahara.

Someday, I will try to remember to snap a few pics, when they are out, cruising Oz.

the VW diesel I hear is very nice convertion you just have to find the engine and hope its in good condition. The stock Samurai has 55 lbs of torque and 60 HP, mine w/the 1.6 L 16 Valve 97 lbs torque and 120 HP w/all my upgrades, the diesel has 140 lbs torque

I know that first hand. We've got a Toy 4Runner,
and a Sidekick. Both, painfully slow, and can't even
get out of their own way, but each will
out 4 wheel my pick up any day, anywhere.
Well, except maybe for really deep water.

We've got a really good spot to go mud bogging,
and most of the domestics gets stuck in no time. The Toys
and the Zuks cruise around on top of the mud all day. ;Sweet
They hardly ever have to pull out a strap. They just keep
driving around sounding like lawnmowers.:rotflmao :rotflmao j/k :)

Thats a sweet Zuk, I built one back in 1999/2000 I used Brents(trailtough's) 4.16:1 case, 5:13's f/r locked with Brents super tough axles etc. on 35's, full exo cage, 5pt. harness, bedliner inside and out, p/s, 3 core rad.
Got bored with it and sold to some guy in Tn. Regret that move. Got a stock 87 for a hunting buggy now, up for some hunting mods, wife is skeered now ;)
