Moving from Roll bar and lights to headache rack, side rails and eventual lights

Well guys I have taken the plunge and decided to grow up a little and replace my roll bar.

My original set up is in my avatar. I have included a couple pics for reference.

thoughts?

I want to haul a boat up on the rack eventually and have plans to make a rear piece that is the same height as the rack one of these days.

the square piece is leaving soon. I am also going to be putting my rollbar lights elsewhere.

Sweet. Did you buy or build it?
I'll probably do something like that when I do my diy western hauler type bed.

That would be a nice set up for stuffing extra firewood in the bed. It also gives you plenty of options for lashing stuff down. I would make the rear piece removable. Looks good.

I bought it. The rear piece I will probably build and its gonna be collapsible and removable. I also hope to put a proper metal tool box in there soon.

Thats really what started the whole idea of the swap. I regularly haul lots of stuff around, I got tired of worrying about hitting the rear window.

Adds to the purdiness of the wheels.
Will the toolbox sit on top of the rails? Or are you doing something different?
