Manual transmissin leak

Does anyone know how difficult it is to replace the front seal on a ZF 5 speed manual transmissin in a 95 F-450 PSD?? Does the transmission have to be completely disassembled to access it?

no , but it is a pain in the *** just replace the flywheel and clutch when you do it!! i didnt and had to do it again!!

yup.
but make sure the quill for the throwout bearing isn't loose. I've seen many a ZF5 with "front seal" leaks misdiagnosed due to a loose quill
