lug nuts?

I've got a set of eagle alloys I plan to put on my truck.

What kind of lug bits do I need and where would the best place be to get them as a set.

i got a set of lugs for my aluminum wheels that were 7/8 in dai. and bout 2.5-3 inches long. work great. the lugs are semi recessed on my rims so i needed the long ones.

I buy cheap ones and put them on everything. Keeps the wheelstuds from rusting, and easier to spin them on by hand.

Make sure your rear end doesn't have LH threads on the drivers side. I had to special order LH lugs from summit when I switched to alloys. Luckily it was only the second wheel I did instead of the last!

since yours is an 89 it will be rh threads all the way around.

I wanted to improve the look of my lugnuts when I upgraded from the factory Alcoas to what I've got now (craiglist specials that look similar to the factory Alcoas but are 10 inches wide instead of seven).

I went to America's Tire and bought a set of 'theft-proof' lugnuts that are about 2.5" long that completely cover the studs for about $65.

Not cheap, but they came with a special key to remove and install them and they look a lot better than the rusty factory acorns that were on the truck when I bought it.

Just make sure you get the 2" extra long ones. If you ever get a flat and go to put the steel spare on, they are the only ones that will tighten down on the hub, Ask me how i know

Any auto parts store... the last ones I got were Raybestos. I've seen Dorman too.
